May 08, 2013  I have exactly the same issue with a Lenovo X1 Carbon with Wndows 8 Pro 64 bits and it came from Factory with the issue. One came up with a yellow exclamation mark WAN Miniport.

I am having problems with the driver software for my network adaptor WAN miniport (IKEv2). I am getting this error message: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. I try a lot of solutions I found on forums., I reinstalledall the drivers of the others network adaptaters (Realtek PCIe GBE Controller, wifi etc.), but nothing changed, I still have the yellow! In front of my ikev2 network adaptator. Eveything is fine on the laptop (Dell studio 14Z), I have internet etc., but I cannot configure a new VPN connection, which is automaticaly changed as dial up connection by W7. It seems to be due to my WAN miniport (IKEv2) issue.

I was able to do it in Vista befoer upgrading to W7. Do I need to downgrade to Vista?!?! It seems it was better.
