While it is true, that it's certainly IMG friendly. I believe that Detroit is IMG friendly for exceptional candidates. I know a lot of people who matched there, and a lot of didn't even get a single interview there.

The people who were matching all had scores >230 I&II, while those with less had scores below 230. I would add that I am speaking with regards to specialties not including FM, Psych etc. I'm sure that some of those people were able to get great spots there with scores below what I mentioned above. Also, I can't overstate the importance of doing an elective at the place where you want to match!!!
